Basic Education Department

Kindergarten Education

Colegio del Sagrado Corazon de Jesus proudly offers a comprehensive Kindergarten Education program designed to lay a strong foundation for lifelong learning. Anchored in the Vincentian tradition of excellence, compassion, and service, our Kindergarten program nurtures the holistic development of each child in a safe, supportive, and faith-based learning environment.

Our curriculum focuses on the essential domains of early childhood development—language and literacy, numeracy, physical health and motor development, social-emotional skills, values formation, and creative expression. Through age-appropriate learning experiences and play-based instruction, we aim to foster curiosity, confidence, and a love for learning among our young learners.

Guided by highly qualified and caring teachers, children are encouraged to explore their world, express their thoughts, and interact meaningfully with peers. The Kindergarten program also integrates spiritual and moral development, reflecting the school’s commitment to forming well-rounded, compassionate individuals rooted in faith and service.

Lower and Upper Basic Education

Colegio del Sagrado Corazon de Jesus remains steadfast in its mission to provide quality Catholic education that nurtures the mind, heart, and spirit. Through its Basic Education Department, the school offers a well-rounded academic program, rooted in the Vincentian values of faith, service, and excellence.

  • Lower Level: Grades 1 to 6

In the lower level, students are guided through their formative years with an engaging, values-enriched curriculum that strengthens core competencies in Language, Mathematics, Science, Araling Panlipunan, Christian Living Education, and other learning areas. The program also promotes social-emotional learning, creativity, physical development, and spiritual growth, helping young learners build confidence, character, and a deep sense of respect for God, others, and creation.

With dedicated and caring faculty, learners experience a safe and nurturing environment that supports their curiosity and builds a strong academic foundation for future learning.

  • Upper Level: Grades 7 to 10

In the upper level, it further enhances students’ academic skills and critical thinking abilities, while deepening their faith and social responsibility. It follows the K to 12 curriculum prescribed by the Department of Education, enriched by the school’s Vincentian identity and commitment to holistic education.

Learners are empowered through academic rigor, leadership opportunities, co-curricular activities, and community involvement that prepare them for Senior High School and beyond. The upper level serves as a platform for forming compassionate, morally grounded, and civic-minded individuals who are ready to face the challenges of the 21st century with integrity and purpose.

  • Senior High School Program (Grades 11–12)

The Senior High School program that equips learners with the academic and life skills needed to succeed in higher education, the workforce, and in life. Guided by the school’s Vincentian mission and Catholic values, the program aims to form competent, compassionate, and socially responsible young leaders. It is further enriched by values formation, leadership training, community engagement, and faith-based instruction—preparing students not just for academic success, but for lives of meaningful service and Christian discipleship.

Rooted in academic excellence and holistic formation, the Senior High School curriculum provides students with foundational knowledge and specialization through the Academic Track, offering the following strands:

  1. Accountancy, Business and Management (ABM) Strand

    Designed for students who are inclined toward business, finance, entrepreneurship, and corporate management. The ABM strand prepares students for business-related courses and careers, cultivating financial literacy, strategic thinking, and leadership skills.

  2. Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) Strand

    Ideal for students interested in communication, education, social work, political science, psychology, and other fields related to the humanities and public service. The HUMSS strand develops critical thinking, empathy, cultural awareness, and effective communication.

  3. Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Strand

    Geared toward students who wish to pursue studies and careers in medicine, engineering, information technology, and the sciences. The STEM strand provides a strong foundation in scientific inquiry, mathematical reasoning, and technological innovation.


Higher Education Department

Colegio del Sagrado Corazon de Jesus takes pride in its commitment to providing transformative and mission-driven tertiary education that prepares students for professional excellence, servant leadership, and social responsibility. The Higher Education Department continues to uphold its Vincentian tradition of forming graduates who are intellectually competent, morally upright, and deeply rooted in faith.

Students are given the opportunity to pursue their passion and vocation through the following degree programs:

  • Bachelor of Science in Social Work (BSSW)

    This program is designed to prepare students for professional social work practice with individuals, families, groups, and communities. Rooted in Vincentian values of compassion, service, and justice, the BSSW program equips future social workers with the knowledge, skills, and ethical grounding needed to advocate for human rights, promote social change, and uplift marginalized sectors of society.

  • Bachelor of Science in Hotel Management (BSHM)

The BSHM program develops students’ competencies in hospitality operations, food and beverage services, front office, housekeeping, and event management. Combining practical training with industry-aligned instruction, the program cultivates professionalism, creativity, and leadership in the fast-paced hospitality sector. Students are immersed in values-driven learning that emphasizes excellence, courtesy, and global hospitality standards.

Culinary and Kitchen Management
This major prepares students for professional culinary careers by developing their mastery of food preparation, kitchen operations, menu planning, and food safety. The curriculum integrates both classical techniques and modern innovations, empowering students to become skilled culinary artists and kitchen leaders.

Restaurant and Bar Management
Focused on the front-of-house operations, this major equips students with practical skills in managing restaurants, bars, and other food service establishments. Students are trained in customer service, beverage preparation, bar operations, sales techniques, and hospitality entrepreneurship.

Both majors blend theoretical foundations with practical training through internships, industry immersion, and hands-on simulations, ensuring graduates are job-ready and globally competitive.

Sagrado Alternative Evening School (SAES) Program

An inclusive and accessible learning modality that offers the BSHM Major in Restaurant and Bar Management to working individuals and non-traditional students. Designed to accommodate learners with daytime responsibilities, this evening program upholds the same academic excellence and hands-on experience as the regular track, while allowing for flexible scheduling and learner-centered delivery.

SAES reflects Sagrado’s commitment to educational equity, providing an alternative pathway for aspiring hospitality professionals to pursue their goals while balancing work, family, and personal aspirations.

  • Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management (BSTM)

    Focusing on the dynamic and ever-evolving tourism industry, the BSTM program offers students a broad foundation in destination management, tourism planning, travel operations, and sustainable practices. The program prepares future tourism professionals who can deliver meaningful travel experiences while championing cultural appreciation and environmental stewardship. With a strong Vincentian formation, students are guided to become ethical and innovative leaders in global tourism.
